Lax-teorin: Salmon Theory
˜ whereby one approaches a problem like a salmon. Diving in deep down to get a detailed view to then rise up and glide across the water’s surface to see the bigger picture.
utmattning: fatigue
Sweden suffers from a surprisingly large proportion of depression in the workplace. Stress, impossible self achievements and over-optimistic time management lead to the biggest cause of long-term and short-term sick leave.
Today’s phrase of the day
bollplank: sounding board
mindre omfattning: lesser extent
tillgänglig som bollplank i mindre omfattning: available as a sounding board to a lesser extent

I have been using my phone as an alarm clock for years now but it has only been recently I’ve considered purchasing a separate alarm clock. This is simply to have peace from the push notifications and weird wrong-number text messages that my phone has been happily reminding me of just as I’m about to fall asleep.
I’m considering clocky, just because he makes waking up seem playful.

Every four years, Sweden opens it’s secret military abodes to the public. Yesterday Anders and I went to check out the Bergrum on skeppsholmen.
It was a giant place, under the rocks of the nordiska museum and spanned 4000km2. It was built for the second world war, before Sweden knew it would be neutral I guess, and housed a mine factory along with uboats.
One of the things I love about Stockholm is the rocks and untamedness of the place and it’s pretty impressive to see how the architecture of the city has been integrated into the natural surroundings. Bergrummet is an example of exploiting a natural defense that at the time was pretty state of the art; very James Bond.
Now, with GPS, it would be a sitting target, so this is one of the last of it’s kind in defense architecture.

My miche hubs mysteriously cracked a week ago and I have been cycling around ‘cykelaffärer’ asking about a new ‘nav.
It seems it’s more economically worth it to buy a whole new wheel.
